BREAKING: Bandit shot dead by accomplice

A bandit was Thursday night shot dead by his accomplice while during a robbery at a GuyOil gas station at Hopetown, West Coast Berbice.

The incident occurred shortly after 8 PM.

Sources said one of the bandits fired a shot to scare persons, but instead the bullet struck his accomplice.

Well-placed sources said the assailant escaped with two pouches of cash in a waiting car that sped off in an easterly direction.

A knife was concealed in the dead man’s waist.
