A young woman from Timehri is dead after being struck by the propeller of a small airplane, reports say.
The Guyana Police Force has identified her as Raquel Joseph, 22, of Old Road, Timehri.
β(She) was killed when she ended up in the path of the propeller of a single-engine Cessna 172 aricraft that had just landed at the Ekereku Airstrip,β a police release stated.
The incident occurred around 5.40 PM, the police said. The release added that the circumstances were still unclear and that investigations were underway.
