The guard was rushed back to that health care institution. Up to late Sunday afternoon, he was undergoing surgery to remove two or three bullets, a source at RK Security told Demerara Waves Online News.
The security company is appealing for 0-Negative blood and intends to show its appreciation to donors.
On returning from the hospital with the cash, two men rode up on a motorcycle, one of them shot opened fire at the RK’s Security car and grabbed the bag and escaped.
A bullet ricocheted off the car and struck the guard whose only name has been given as Trotman. He said to be about 25 years old.
The vehicle eventually ended up at the corner of Middle and East Streets outside a well-known shop that was closed at the time.
