From a life changing tragedy in Guyana to becoming a published author gaining international recognition, Guyanese born author Ms. Deoranie “Marcia” Badal is turning her personal journey into a story of resilience, inspiration, and literary achievement.
After migrating from Guyana to the United States following a tragic accident in her homeland, Badal found strength through writing. What began as a personal expression of emotions, experiences, and reflections eventually became her debut book, Jewel of Writing, a poetry collection that has gone on to receive recognition both nationally and internationally.
