“Shut Pon Shoulder” killed – police

A 56-year-old man of Belvedere, Corentyne, Berbice was allegedly killed and a suspect has since been arrested, police said on Sunday.

Labourer Imran Kadir, also known as Shut Pon Shoulder, was killed between Saturday November 1 and Sunday November 2, 2025, police said.

Investigators were informed that Kadir and the suspect, a carpenter, 32, of the same community, were reportedly consuming alcohol when an altercation ensued.

“The following morning, the victim was found lying motionless at his residence and the matter was reported to the Police,” the Guyana Police Force said.

Police did not say whether the man was shot, stabbed or otherwise assaulted or if any marks of violence were seen on his body.
