An early Monday morning storm left millions of dollars in damage in its wake.
Among the properties damaged is a Caravan plane, bearing registration marking 8R-GTG, which belongs to Trans-Guyana Airways. The roof of a building, believed to be the hangar, was also damaged. Roofing sheets also struck the plane.
House roofs in Unity village and Strathavon were also partly ripped off by the storm.

One unofficial estimate was that the squall moved through at about 2:04 a.m. at 50 miles an hour.
“I could hear zinc sheets rattling, bending violently. The dogs were agitated; lasted about 90 seconds,” a resident of North Cummingsburg told Demerara Waves Online News.
The Civil Defence Commission (CDC) was expected to issue a statement later on Monday.
Several communities in the county of Demerara were also hit by power outages early Monday morning.
