People’s National Congress Reform Chief Scrutineer, Carol Smith-Joseph’s case on the need for voter residency was Thursday dismissed by Chief Justice Roxane George-Wiltshire.
She said once someone provides an address claimed, and it is verified as existing, the person has to be registered.
Even if the person no longer lives there, his or her name cannot be removed unless he or she makes a request, is dead or is disqualified.
The Chief Justice said Ms Joseph did not provide any evidence to back any of her claims.
The decision applies to both general and local elections.
