Satan, wanted for killing of teenage girl, caught in barrel

The prime suspect in the murder of a 14-year old girl and the dumping of her body in the Hope Canal, East Coast Demerara was arrested early Thursday morning.

Alvin “Satan” Reid  was wanted by police for questioning in connection with the death of Malika Hamilton of Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara. Her body was found in the canal on August 9, 2016.

The suspect, who managed to elude the Police in the past, was found hiding in a barrel in the Ann’s Grove cemetery, police said.

An autopsy shows that Hamilton died of blunt trauma to the head.

Reid was previously wanted for a chopping a man on his hand and a baby to her head. He had been also fingered in a robbery at the Clonbrook Post Office, East Coast Demerara
