Buxton resident shot while in bed

A resident of Buxton, East Coast Demerara was shot Wednesday night while in bed moments after his wife left the bedroom.

The incident occurred at about 11 O’clock at Brusche Dam.

Injured is Brinsley David.He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and is presently undergoing surgery.

“Investigations have revealed that the victim was in bed with his wife Zion Clarke, `who left to use the washroom and upon her return she saw someone pointing a black object through the bedroom window. There were then several loud explosions, and Brinsley David was found to be bleeding profusely,” the Guyana Police Force said in a statement.
