Robbers early Wednesday morning tied up the guards at the Region Four Office at Triumph before breaking into the building and carting off an undisclosed sum of cash, police said.
Investigators said that at about 2 AM on June 2, 2016 four men armed with handguns stormed the Regional Democratic Office Compound at B.V Triumph, East Coast Demerara.
“They relieved one the two security guards of cash and valuables, tied them up and proceeded to torch two safes in the building where they carted off an undisclosed sum of cash,” the Guyana Police Force said in a statement.
No arrests have been made as investigations continue, police added.
