Body of Pomeroon man found in river

Police say they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Nicholas Jacobus, 58 years, of Kabakaburi, Pomeroon River, whose body was recovered from the river at about 0945h. yesterday Sunday October 11, 2015.

Investigations have revealed that Nicholas Jacobus had left a shop in the Pomeroon River for his home in a paddle boat during Friday October 09, 2015. The boat alone was seen in the river the following day with the front damaged.

Nicholas Jacobus’ body was found yesterday after a search had been launched. The body is at the Suddie Hospital Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.
