Guyanese may never know the truth about what caused a man to shoot dead his child’s mother and then turn the gun on himself.
Hours after 22-year old Mark Moses committed the act, he died at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC). Police confirmed that he “succumbed to his injury.”
Before shooting himself, he opened fire on 20-year old Amanda Mohan at her Pike Street, Kitty home, killing her. The incident occurred at about 5:40 AM, Wednesday October 07, 2015, at her home. Moses then shot himself to his chest.
“Initial investigations have revealed that Amanda Mohan and the suspect, with whom she shared a relationship, had an argument during which she was fatally shot to her chest,” said a spokesman for the Guyana Police Force.
An unlicensed 9mm. pistol with three (3) spent shells has been recovered by the police.
