Minister of Agriculture, Noel Holder on Monday remained hospitalized due to heart and lung problems, according to well-placed sources.
Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo could not say the nature of Holder’s illness but confirmed that he was hospitalized on Sunday.
Sources said that almost one week ago, the Agriculture Minister was breathing heavily.
Information reaching Demerara Waves Monday August 10 is that he may have pneumonia complications along with the heart issue.
He said to be in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of the St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital.
Information is that Holder might be transferred to the Caribbean Heart Institute (CHI) sometime Monday or later this week.
Alliance For Change (AFC) insiders have often remarked that the elderly Holder had declined the appointment of a junior minister despite the size of the Agriculture Minister.
