Guyana’s National Budget for 2015 will be tabled in the National Assembly on Monday August 10, Finance Miniuster Winston Jordan announced on Thursday.
The budget would only be valid for the remainder of the year.
The package of revenue and expenditures should have been introduced and passed in the House by April 2015 but the previous governent had suspended the Parliament to avoid debate on a no-confidence motion.
The Parliament was later dissolved to make way for the May 11, 2015 general and regional elections that resulted in a change of government for the first time in 23 years.
