Decomposed bodies of woman, infant found in house

The decomposed body of an Amerindian woman and her eight-month old child were discovered in a house on the East Bank Demerara , police confirmed.

The names of the deceased were not immediately available. The house in which the bodies were found is located at 408 Section ‘C’, Block Y, Golden Grove.

The woman’s husband works in the interior.

Well-placed sources said the bodies were found at about 11 O’cloci Friday night after a nearby resident could not cope with the unbearable stench emanating from the property.

No one in the area knows anything much about the woman because she hardly interacted with neighbours since moving into the house owned by an overseas-based Guyanese, Clement Ramrup.

A neighbour living at the back informed Ramrup who told her to call in the police and break down the door.
