San Juan, Jan 8 (EFE).- Sandals Resorts International will open a new luxury resort in Barbados on Jan. 28 following a $65 million renovation of the former Couples Barbados.
Located on Barbados’ southern coast, the resort will feature 280 luxury rooms in three different villages: Ocean Village, Crystal Lagoon Village and Caribbean Village.
The complex boasts 11 eateries, featuring French and Japanese cuisine as well as SRI’s first Indian restaurant, Bombay Club.
The all-inclusive resort will also feature a six-treatment salon spa and three swimming pools, one of them the longest crystal lagoon river pool in the eastern Caribbean, 560 feet, with access to swim-up suites, SRI said in a statement.
SRI operates properties in seven countries: Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados, Jamaica, St. Lucia and Turks and Caicos.
