Sao Paulo, Oct 24 (EFE).- Brazilian state-controlled oil company Petrobras on Friday announced a new natural gas and condensate find in deep waters off the coast of the southeastern state of Espirito Santo.
Petrobras made the discovery in the Golfinho block after drilling a well in a part of the Atlantic Ocean that has a water depth of 1,319 meters (4,325 feet) and is located 81 kilometers (50 miles) from the Brazilian coastal city of Vitoria.
The well was drilled to a total depth of 3,238 meters (10,616 feet) and the gas and condensate reservoirs were identified at a depth of 3,055 meters, the company said.
Petrobras is the operator of Golfinho and has 100 percent of the production rights to that block.
