Four persons have been arrested and two hand guns and ammunition seized, as police continued their probe into last Sunday’s shooting death of an electrical engineer outside his Prashad Nagar home.
Investigators said that a suspect who was arrested on Wednesday in Sophia has led them to the arrest of three other men in Sophia.
Police said they seized two unlicensed .32 pistols with a total of 21 rounds were found.
Abdool Saleem, 23, was gunned down on Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar shortly after he exited a vehicle about 4 AM. His attackers were riding cycles.
Saleem, who was employed by Edward B. Beharry Group of Companies, succumbed to his injuries on the spot near a neighbour’s vehicle behind which he had apparently sought to take cover.
In the end, the men fled without robbing Saleem because his wallet and cellular phone were found in his possession.
