Man slaps girlfriend because she refused to have sexual intercourse

A woman alleged in court that her boyfriend beat her up because she refused to have sexual intercourse with him.

Collis Duke,39, of 768 South Amelia’s Ward, Linden pleaded not guilty to the charge of assaulting Wenetta Kopin so as to cause her actual bodily harm on September 30 at South Amelia’s Ward.

Police Proseutor, Kerry Bostwick said the woman sustained injuries as a result of cuffs to her arms and legs.

She told the court that Duke assaulted her because she ditched his desire to have sexual intercourse.  

However, the victim confirmed to the Court that the defendant assaulted her because she refused to have sex with him. She added that he cuffed her and even threw her to the ground.

Duke was remanded to prison until October 29 when he will appear in the Linden Magistrates’ Court.
