Govt employee, another man arrested in connection with marijuana find

Two men, including a government employee, were Saturday in police custody in connection with the discovery of a large quantity of marijuana in a house at Lethem, Rupununi.

Police said the 16.5 pounds of compressed marijuana were found in a ‘salt bag’ about 9:45 Friday night during a search.

One of the detainees is employed by a regulatory agency in the natural resources sector.
