Bel Air Park woman shot while husband resisted bandits

A Bel Air Park woman was shot Saturday night after her elderly husband resisted three bandits during an attempted robbery.

The injured woman has been identified as 57-year old Pace Bhagwandass. She was shot to her abdomen and has been admitted a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Police said the incident occurred about 7:15 PM as the woman and her husband were arriving at their residence at Bel Air Park in their motor vehicle.
