Labourer arraigned for alleged murder of female taxi driver

The man who allegedly raped and killed the female taxi driver near Dakara Creek, Soesdyke was Wednesday arraigned on a charge of murder.

Sylvester “Rambo” Bristol was- not required to plea to the indictable charge that he killed Savitri Mya Palmer between February 16 and 17,2014. 

The prosecutor asked for three weeks to complete the investigation and Sylvester was remanded to prison until March 14. He was unrepresented.

Police sources said that up to early Wednesday morning Palmer’s husband was still in custody assisting with investigations.

The nude body of the Timehri taxi driver was found about 700 yards from her car early Sunday morning. Her eight year old sun was found unhurt in the back seat of the car.
