Cocaine-in-Boulanger is the newest menu for smuggling cocaine out of Guyana but a shipment was intercepted Saturday shortly before it was due to leave for Canada.
Customs Anti Narcotics Unit (CANU) agents said they discovered 12.4 kilogrammes of cocaine stashed in the vegetable.
A man, who frequently ships vegetables to North America, was arrested at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport.
The boulanger, pumpkin and other vegetables were due to leave on a Caribbean Airlines flight to Toronto, Canada.
CANU sources said the shipper is being questioned and several others persons are likely to be arrested.
