Motorcyclist who avoided dog faces causing death by dangerous driving charge

A motorcyclist, who avoided hitting a dog and slammed into three pedestrians, is to be charged with causing death by dangerous driving, police said.

The dead man has been identified as 33-year old Neberne Charles of 11 Amelia’s Ward, Linden.

Police said that around 8:45 Tuesday night,  Charles and 13-year old Henry Belgrave of 337 One Mile Wismar, Linden were walking on the One Mile Wismar Road where the accident occurred.

Investigators were told that 22-year old Revon Austin of 466 Canvas City, Wismar was riding motorcycle CG 6271 at a fast rate when he tried evading a dog that attacked him and collided with the pedestrians.

The three received injuries and were taken to the Mackenzie Hospital where Charles died Wednesday morning about 5:30.

Austin and Belgrave were still hospitalized.
