A man, who allegedly robbed the proprietor of a Chinese store of GUY$41 million in cash and valuables was Wednesday arraigned.
The prosecution’s case is that 24-year old Kenrick Duncan on September 10 robbed Hi Yu Nan of 41 of US$15,000, a large sum of Guyanese and Surinamese dollars, jewellery and other valuables
Court papers say Duncan, in the company of others, was armed with a gun when he committed the offence at Lisa’s General Store, Charlotte and Wellington Streets, Georgetown.
City Magistrate, Fabayo Azore remanded the man to prison until October 8.
Duncan, a father of four children, was not represented by a lawyer.
