Three men on Friday remained in the custody of Customs Anti-Narcotics Unit (CANU) agents in connection with an 11.148 kilogramme cocaine bust on Lombard and Sussex streets, Georgetown, the Ministry of Home Affairs agency said.
Two of the men were arrested during the alleged bust on Wednesday and the other has since surrendered following the issuance of a wanted bulletin.
Those arrested during the alleged interception of a motor car, bearing licence number PAH 8554, were 47-year-old Colin Alfred, a mechanic of 1415 Westminster, Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, and 28-year old Terrence Bentinck of Lot M 53 Guyhoc Gardens, Georgetown.
Jason Lloyd “Whiteboy” De Freitas has since surrendered to CANU.
“A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 10 brick-like parcels, containing a quantity of cocaine,” CANU said.
