Two persons were killed and two others injured in an early Sunday morning collision on the Coverden Public Road, East Bank Demerara.
Dead are 23-year old Rudolph Bess and 16-year old Hansranie Persaud. Bess worked at ReadyMix Cement Limited, Eccles, East Bank Demerara. They succumbed on the spot, according to persons who were on the scene.
Injured are Yolanda Fisher-Patterson of Paradise Village, East Coast Demerara and her husband, Joseph Patterson. They were admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The Pattersons were in a Toyota Spacio returning from the Cheddi Jagan International Airport, Timehri when the accident occurred.
An SUV hit the motorcycle and eventually clipped the Spacio.
