Two persons were killed and three others injured in a brawl involving cutlasses and knives at a bar at Manchester Village , Corentyne, police said.
Dead are Mark Simon, 28 years, of Liverpool, Corentyne and Kempton Gray, 23 years, of Alness, Corentyne as a result of injuries. They were taken to hospital where Simon was pronounced dead on arrival and Gray succumbed while receiving medical attention.
The incident occurred at about 10:30 Sunday night, December 27, 2015, a group of men were imbibing at a bar at Manchester, Corentyne, when an argument arose which turned into a disorderly brawl involving the use of the weapons.
Bhiron Robertson, 31 years, of Liverpool; Samuel Fraser, 32 years, of Liverpool; and Gary Tyndall, 32 years, of Courtland, Corentyne, also received injuries.
Robertson and Fraser have been admitted to hospital while Tyndall was treated and sent away.
