Fourth man charged with Black Bush Polder triple muder

The fourth suspect in the Black Bush Polder triple murder on Thursday appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates Court One for charge.

40-year-old Rakesh Kurramchand, of Sheet Anchor Road, Corentyne was not required to plea to the indictable charge when it was read to him by Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

It is alleged that between July 21 and 22, 2016 at Cookrite Savannah, Black Bush Polder Corentyne that Kurrumchand along with three others murdered Pawan Chandradeo, Jaikarran Chandradeo, and Naresh Rooplall.

He was remanded to prison and will reappear at in a Berbice court on October 4.

The bodies of the three deceased were discovered on July 22, 2016, bearing gunshot wounds.

Already charged separately with the murder of the trio are 18-year Jairam Tajeram, 26-year old Tameshwar  Jagmohan and 38-year old Carlton Chetram.
