‘A’ Division Commander, Clifton Hicken told Demerara Waves Online News that the robbers grabbed a payroll of an undisclosed amount.
He said no one was injured during the incident that occurred at about 10 AM.
He said the robbers escaped on a motorcycle. Other sources told Demerara Waves Online News that more than GYD$1 million was carted off  from the cashier cage by a lone gunman while two others distracted other staff member in other offices.
This is the second major robbery in less than one week; the first being at the Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara branch of the Bank of Baroda.
