Unrepresented man charged with GPHC dispatcher’s murder remanded

CHARGED WITH MURDER: Alan Sim.

The man, who allegedly stabbed his estranged partner and shoved out of a car, was Monday arraigned for her murder.

Alan Sim of 860 Paradise Housing Scheme, East Coast Demerara was not required to plea to the indictable charge which states that on November 23, 2015 he murdered Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation dispatcher, Melissa ‘Lisa’ Skeete.

Sim,51, allegedly murdered the 31 year old woman, shortly after picking her up from work on November 23, 2015.

City Magistrate, Fabayo Azore remanded the accused to prison until January 4, 2015. He was not represented by a lawyer.

Prosecuting the case is Assistant Superintendent of Police, Stephen Telford.

The woman was found on Carmichael Street, bleeding profusely from several stab wounds she had sustained about her body.

She succumbed while receiving emergency treatment at her place of employ.
