At least 30 small businesses that are borrowing from Institute of Private Enterprise Development Limited (IPED) are to receive assistance to showcase their goods and services at next week’s Business Expo 2015.

However, the micro-financing institution says only those up-to-date with their loan repayments and have businesses that create jobs will benefit from the ‘small piece’ to help them participate in the trade fair to be held from November 27-29, 2015 at the Sophia Exhibition Complex.

“The assistance provided will cover the cost of booth rental along with a cash contribution to cover part of the out of pocket expenses being incurred by the business owner to participate in the exhibition.

“The businesses being supported will be drawn from our existing customer database and must be up to date with their loan payments and have a business that contributes to job creation, be innovative and have growth potential,” said IPED in a statement.

All of the businesses supported will be within one block in the Annex at the exhibition complex, and IPED urges visitors to support these micro and small entrepreneurs.

IPED is listed as a not for profit entity that has been serving micro and small business entrepreneurs for 30 years.

IPED is helping people to help themselves. IPED is currently financing and supporting over 4,000

businesses country wide from our 13 service points/branches with a loan portfolio of GYD$2.6B. These
businesses provide employment to over 10,000 persons.
