Taxi drivers seriously injured, cars hijacked

Two taxi drivers have been injured and their cars hijacked.

They are 34 year old Rolwyn Crum-Ewing abd 53 year old Colin Ageday.

Sources said Crum-Ewing was stabbed after he picked up several persons at Stabroek Market Square at about 4 am Thursday. He was attacked while in the vicinity of Sheriff Street and relieved of his car.

That vehicle was bearing license number plate HC 4924.

Crum-Ewing was admitted in a serious condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital.

In relation to the other incident, police said that at about 1945h. last night Thursday October 15, 2015, taxi-driver Coiln Ageday, 53 years, of Golden Grove, EBD, was attacked by two men armed with firearms at “A” Field, Sophia.

He was shot and injured to his back during the incident and has been admitted to the GPHC.

The perpetrators took away his silver grey Premio motor car HC 3612 and escaped.

Investigations are in progress.
