Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.

A policeman was Thursday granted bail for allegedly stealing one of his colleague’s Blackberry cellular phone.

Macurty Simpson pleaded not guilty to stealing the phone from Earl Cornelius on September 18, 2015 at the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) headquarters, Eve Leary, Georgetown.

Police Prosecutor, Corporal Deniro Jones told the court, presided over by City Magistrate Ann Mc Lennan, that the stolen article was recovered from Simpson’s hand.

Jones did not object to bail and Simpson was released on his own recognizance.

Simpson has to return to court on October 22 before Magistrate Alex Moore.
