Robeson Benn’s house burnt

Public Works Minister, Robeson Benn’s abandoned home at Linden was Tuesday afternoon destroyed by fire.

Sources said Benn believed that the blaze could have been caused by grass fire that eventually caught the wooden and concrete structure.

After Benn and his family moved from the once thriving bauxite mining town, household items were stolen and eventually the house was vandalized.

Another theory being considered, according to sources, is the possibility of a drug addict unintentionally causing the fire.

About one year ago, the house of prominent Linden businessman Dunstan Barrow was destroyed by fire.
