Vulcanizing shop owner shot dead, another man injured

The owner of a vulcanizing shop was shot dead at his business premises and another man was shot and injured, according to well-placed sources.

The incident occurred shortly before 11 PM at the vulcanizing shop located on South Road, Georgetown between Cummings and Light Streets.

Dead is  41-year old Randolph “Rat” Singh of 207 Charlotte Street , Bourda, Georgetown. Sources said he received multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen and other parts of his body. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC).

Thirty-three year old Debert Mohammed of 165 Cummings Street, Georgetown sustained a gunshot to his right elbow.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately known.
