Guyana-bornb former American soldier dies in bike smash-up

A former American soldier was killed when the high-powered bike he was riding crashed into a utility pole on the Clifton Village Public Road, Corentyne.

Dead is 37-year old Vincent Indhal formerly of the United States and Cromarty Farm, Corentyne.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Port Mourant Hospital.

Relatives said he served the US army, and re-migrated late last year.

Residents in the area said the incident occurred about 2 AM near a church. He and friends were returning from the 20.20 Cricket Extravaganza and Car and Bike Show that was held at Cumberland, East Canje.

Police said that Indhal was riding at a “fast rate when he lost control and slammed into a utility pole. The man was riding a CBR motorcycle.

The pole was tossed several feet away in a nearby yard and the mangled body of the man ended up in a trench. One of his hands was severed and pieces of flesh were seen at the scene of the accident.
