Berbice woman strangled, husband attempts suicide

A Berbice woman has been killed and her reputed husband is under police guard at the Port Mourant Hospital after he reportedly tried to commit suicide. Drunken fisherman, niece severely burnt in gasoline explosion

A drunken fisherman, who carelessly disposed of a lighted cigarette, was Sunday afternoon severely burnt after a nearby plastic container of gasoline exploded and engulfed him in flames.
