A speeding car on Sunday struck down four relatives on the La Union, West Coast Demerara Public Road, killing one and seriously injuring two others, police said.
Dead is 68-year old Bernice Hubbard. Admitted to the West Demerara Regional Hospital are Eugene Wilson,56, and Wanda Wilson,35. Randolph Wilson,55, was treated and sent away.
The four, who are from Crane Housing Scheme, were awaiting transportation when the driver of motor car PMM 1195 lost control of the vehicle and struck them down before crashing into a utility pole, according to police.
