Man on the run after allegedly strangling wife

Police in ‘D’ Division are making stringent efforts to quickly apprehend a male suspect who allegedly strangled his reputed wife, in his Parika, East Bank Essequibo home, about 7:30 Wednesday morning, the Guyana Police Force said.

Investigations have so far revealed that the victim Dhanwantie Ram, 29, after encountering several domestic abuses, four days ago left her reputed husband’s home, along with her three (3) children and went to her house at Parika Façade.

Yesterday evening the suspect, a 28 year old Labourer went to the victim’s house at Parika Façade and demanded that she return to his home to which she refused and he allegedly abused her and left.

About 06:00hrs Wednesday morning the victim was on her way to the Parika Police Station to lodge a report against the suspect, when he intercepted and took her to his home where she was later found by a relative motionless, in a sitting position with a bed sheet tied around her neck.

The suspect was seen fleeing his house towards the backdam.

The victim was rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival. Her body is presently at the Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.

Man has lost all that God endowed him with….Satan rules among the weak….why are the churches so silent?….why no marches to wake up sleeping and lazy people?…..why are sermons only confined to pulpits?…..Jesus commanded that we go to the highways and byways….not in secluded buildings

Shouldn’t the churches be allowed back in the schools?

by that it means to a lot of people “Christians” and their prayers ….no Hindus,,,,Muslims…..Rastafarians….Buddhists… Chinese….Amerindians and their worship…..my take on that is NO!…and I am a Christian

It does not necessarily means what you state. No one is excluding anyone. You are. And Rastafarian is not a religion.

You mean that Ja is not coming?..

          • Gtloyal

Read up on how the Rastafarian society came into being, pal. Founded in 1930 to unify blacks with their land of origin, Rastafarian beliefs are mainly based in Judaism and Christianity.

cracking some eggs there GT?…or a puff?…”And Rastafarian is not a religion.”…you just stated…now watch this swing..

          • Gtloyal

The movement not being a religion does not mean that its members have no “… culture..or beliefs…”
Is there another language that you would prefer? You seem to be having a hard time understanding basic English. Having too much snow in April? Can be bad for the nose.

          • Col123

…..how do you define worship?……is there a special deity to follow to make it a religion?…wow..you mean Zoroastrianism is not a religion…can’t play golf in snow..

          • Gtloyal

Am I the one taking that puff you twice mentioned? You beware of what that “snow” is doing to you.
