Teenage boy stabs 22-year old man to death over reputed wife

A 16-year old boy allegedly stabbed to death a 22-year old man at Eccles, East Bank Demerara after the now dead man saw him accompanying his wife and struck him down with his motorcar and beat him.
Police said the teenager whipped out a 1o-inch long Rambo knife from the woman’s handbag that he had been carrying at the time of the incident.
The boy, who is from Eccles, has since been arrested and the knife retrieved.
Dead is Imtiaz Alli, an excavator operator, of 121 “BB” Eccles, East Bank Demerara.
Investigators were told that  Alli’s reputed wife was way on her way home from work, in the company of the suspect who was riding a bicycle alongside her as he routinely does.  Police were also told that that as they were proceeding in a northern direction, Alli, who was driving motor car PSS2435 struck down the suspect who got up and began to run but was apprehended by Alli who started to beat him.
“During this process the suspect who was still in possession of the bag, took out the knife and allegedly inflicted a wound to the left side of Alli’s neck.
Alli collapsed and was rushed to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation by a friend, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
