Six hospitals certified as baby-friendly

Man jailed for causing death of Nigel Hughes’ mother

The man, who drove at a fast rate under the influence of alcohol and caused the death of Christobel Hughes-  mother of Attorney-at-Law, Nigel Hughes- almost one year ago- was Monday sentenced to four years imprisonment. Plane explosion leaves one injured, another traumatised

One person was Monday afternoon burnt during an explosion aboard a Britten Norman Trislander aircraft at the Ogle International Airport. A senior official of Roraima Airways confirmed that one person sustained second degree burns and a broken limb during a routine inspection of one of the aircraft. Anglican Diocese of Guyana to decide on female priests; same-sex marriages not on agenda

The Anglican Church in the Guianas is this week set to decide whether whether women should be ordained priests, but Bishop Charles Davidson deflected questions about whether the church should allow same-sex marriages.
