Armed bandits tie up guards, cart off cash from Region Four Office

Robbers early Wednesday morning tied up the guards at the Region Four Office at Triumph before breaking into the building and carting off an undisclosed sum of cash, police said.

Investigators said that at about 2 AM on June 2, 2016 four men armed with handguns stormed the Regional Democratic Office Compound at B.V Triumph, East Coast Demerara.

“They relieved one the two security guards of cash and valuables, tied them up and proceeded to torch two safes in the building where they carted off an undisclosed sum of cash,” the Guyana Police Force said in a statement.

The government needs to show that they intend to take the fight to the bandits. Declare an emergency. Hold these guys indefinitely longer. Let them build their barracks on one of the islands. Establish courts that try their cases quickly. This has become a scourge on this land. Those for murder to the gallows. Like the one who killed Barbita. He should be made to swing. Get these guys off the street. They do not want to work. Look at the one wnorobbed the visitor. As a result of that we stink to the high heavens.
