Concealing marijuana in cigarette packets and selling the herb is not such a bright idea because the police will catch you.

Police alleged that a couple– 46-year old Derek Alexander of 218 Half Mile, Wismar and 49-year old Duel Pollydore of 2119 Central Amelia’s Ward, Linden– pleaded not guilty to the offence.

They were remanded to prison until November 10, 2015 when they will appear at the Linden Magistrate Court, for report and fixtures.

Police said that on Wednesday, October 7 at Mackenzie, Linden they were in possession of 64 grammes of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Despite a bail application on grounds that the two are parents of nine year old, they were refused bail.

Police prosecutor, Corporal Deniro Jones objected to bail based on the gravity of the offence.

The prosecution’s case is that policemen went to a stall at the Mackenzie Market where they found a  quantity of leaves, seeds and stems parceled in Pall Mall cigarette packets.
