Cocaine pellets retrieved from Surinamese woman – police

Fifteen pellets have so far been retrieved from the Surinamese woman who was arrested trying to smuggle cocaine out of Guyana, police said.

Police said the retrieved pellets, which the woman had swallowed, contained 154 grammes of the illicit drug.

The woman was arrested at the Ogle International Airport  Monday night,  September 21, 2015 by anti-narcotics police.

Police alleged that 902 grammes of cocaine were strapped to her body, in addition to the pellets that she had ingested.
