Police identify man shot dead, three injured

One person was shot dead and three others injured at Albouystown, Georgetown during the pre-dawn hours of Friday, according to a senior police officer.

The dead man has been identified as 22-year old Senasie Lewis of East Ruimveldt. Investigators said he was struck by at least nine bullets.

The officer said  two men walked up and discharged several rounds in the direction of the men who are at the corner of James and Albouys Street.

The three others injured are Jonathan De Freitas, 20 years, of Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara; Kurt Francis, 16 years, of Princes Street, Georgetown and Jamal Bascom, 23 years, of Independence Boulevard, Georgetown

Hospital sources confirmed that they were not in a serious condition.
