GPHC lab technician dies in collision

A laboratory technician employed by the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation was Saturday killed in a road accident.

He has been identified as 27-year old Beau Allison of Louisa Row, Georgetown.

The accident occured at about 2 AM on June 20, 2015 on the LBI Public Road, East Coast Demerara.

Investigators were told that he was fatally injured when he is reported to have collided with a motor car which he was attempting to overtake.

Allison and the pillion rider Akeem Constancelly, 25 years, received injuries and were taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where Allison was pronounced dead on arrival, while Constancelly has been admitted.

The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
