Still bearing marks of violence, Liangen Su, 49, said the men armed with guns, knives and cutlasses and an axe invaded one of his restaurants and gun-butted him on his head repeatedly.
He said his wife, Su Yang Kuan Jin,43, was also severely beaten by the bandits who demanded valuables and the location of the surveillance camera system.
The proprietrix, with a gun and knife to her head, led the bandits upstairs from where they carted of US$2,000; GUY$200,000, one laptop and several phones. They snatched a gold chain valued US$2,000.
A waitress and her husband were also in the restaurant at the time of the robbery which lasted about 20 minutes.
Back in October 2001, the proprietor’s brother, 27-year old Yang Qiyuan, was robbed and killed.
