Mother, son held at airport with 10 kilos coke

A Guyanese woman and her Canadian son were Tuesday afternoon arrested after police alleged that they were carrying more than 10 kilogrammes of cocaine in their suitcases.

They were held at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport about 2:35 PM before they were about to board a flight.

Anti Narcotics Police said a total of 10 kilograms 503 grams of cocaine were found concealed in the false walls of the two passengers’ suitcases.
