Good Friday home invasion leaves one injured

A resident of Craig Village, East Bank Demerara was early Good Friday morning shot by one of three armed intruders at his home, police said.

Amarnauth Ramdeen, 19, has been hospitalized for a gunshot injury to his right elbow.

Guyana Police Force spokesman, Ivelaw Whittaker said the young man was aroused by noise in his home and on checking was confronted by three men, two of whom were armed with firearms.

After Ramdeen was shot, they escaped through an incomplete window.
